[Review] LSM3211

Hello all, since I have already finished my exams, I am going to write a little review on the modules that I took this semester. Realised that there are not many reviews on LSM3000 mods so perhaps shall help others who, perhaps would like to know a little bit more about the module before taking it.

For now, I am going to write about LSM3211, Fundamental Pharmacology. This module is taught by a few professors:

Prof Fred Wong
Prof Peter Wong
Prof P.K. Moore
Dr. Seng

Probably too many for one modules. Anyway, this module has one CA, which is made up of T/F MCQ with negative marking..! The horror! And there are only about 28 questions but each question has four parts. That sums up to about 100+ questions. Time: 50-55 minutes, depending on how lenient Prof Wong is. Doable, just pray that you're at the good side of the bell curve :) The CA is only 24%.

Lab is not graded but there are 3 lab sessions. Don't worry about it. They are simple experiments and you can slack, if you want to. No lab reports. We usually end in two-three hours.

Moving on, the finals. Well, it's 76%! Quite stressful, actually. But prepare early because you really, really have to memorise many, many things. It has 26 T/F MCQ with negative marking, again. And there are 6 essay questions but you get to pick 3. Once again, the questions are all pure memory-based.

My advice: If you are good at memory work, just take it. Definitely nothing but regurgitation of facts.
