Exhaustion..

It seems so funny how I got all so excited when I received a single letter from MOE (Ministry of Education) last year. My heart was beating so fast. Random thoughts were running through my mind.

I held that piece of letter so dearly. It was like a treasure. I took it and ran to my dad. I didn't dare to open it. But of course I did-la. I took a peek and I smiled ! I FREAKING SMILED ! It said:

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE BEEN AWARDED THE 2008 ASEAN SCHOLARSHIP!

And I beamed for as long as I could remember.

I still remember how my mom kept asking me if I was 100% sure that I wanted to accept this scholarship. She only applied for fun. Never was there a slightest chance that I could have gotten it, or so she thought.

Oh, if only I had chosen the path less taken.
