Tomorrow's like my last half-day in Penang. Half due to the fact that I will taking the 1335 flight, if I'm not mistaken. Yes, of course I am sad. But what else is there to do? I had no clue that 58 days would just fly by so easily. I thought I had the time in the world and yet, it seems that I have run out of time.
Oh well, I will live. Singapore, here I come. Behold my powers and significance.
Did I ever tell you guys that I love chick flicks? In case you have no clue what that means, it's sort of a type of book. For example, you have different genres for music? Yeah, there are different types of books as well.
Chick flicks, ACCORDING TO ME; are mostly about love, money, hopes and happiness. Romance is sometimes included but rarely. The storyline may usually revolve around
1. an Indian girl and her blonde English friend who go to live in a town, maybe like New York. They want to be successful, here meaning earning big bucks; Hence they try their luck finding a better job than their old one in the country. Alas, due to their low education, they only manage to work at a bazaar or bar. Then one day, they meet this really hot, well-educated, multi-millionaire dude. As always, they fall head over heels in love with this guy. And hence the stories unfold as each try to chase after him although he is already dating a super sexy, blonde thingamajig with long, waxed legs. The story comes to an end when the guy is gripped by the Indian girl. And they live happily ever after.
2. a young, maybe about 18, blonde who goes out to the town alone in search of a job in the fashion industry. She has aspirations of becoming a big designer in the future. There, she meets new friends who stay in the same apartment, a male and a female who have known each other for maybe 4-5 years. She starts out at a small designer shop and starts to date one of the designers there. He treats her nicely and brings her out to have fun since he is a local. Soon after, he uses her designs as his. She feels betrayed and leaves the company. During that time, her male roommie showers her with attention and affection. Not beknown to her, he has fallen deeply in love with her. (I shall let you think about this one yourself, aight?)
I wouldn't rate New Moon as chick flick though. It has some ooze of vampire. And blondes don't usually go around strutting in front of vampires. They scream their
I finally got hold of the book yesterday in Popular.
Cost: RM39.50
I used to think that books in Malaysia were cheap.
I got Twilight for $12 in Singapore.
And it was wayyyyyyy thicker than I originally thought. It had about what? 600 pages? I have to admit, I couldn't put the book down. And hence, the newest record, 600+ pages in 6-7 hours plus a bit of interruptions here and there. Is that slow? I wouldn't know.
I just know that the book is really good.
And I seriously can't wait to get my hands on the third one.
